Prayer Meeting

The Heart of LJL Church
2Chronicles 7:14, Isaiah 56:7-8

What is it?

We gather together to spend time with God collectively. We will also pray for the prayer requests of others.

There's always breakfast afterward for fellowship. Anyone who wishes to spend time with the pastor or seek personal prayers and guidance is welcome. Small Group and other leaders are expected to join and come in person once a month.

How does it work?

It’s a time between you and God.

We are also together with others:
Ask others to pray for you when needed
When you are well, pray for and with others.

Why a Prayer Meeting?

To know God’s heart, hear Him, and obey. Revivals happen this way. Communities are changed, and people come to the Lord.

For breakthroughs, as we pray for the great calling God has for our lives.

To intercede for the needs of others, those whom God loves. God to encounter them.

Requirements to Enter into Prayer

Come as you are.
Lay your burdens down.
Listen and know God’s heart.

Scriptures to Help You Pray

When you need direction, seek God’s Spirit
7No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. 10But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God's deep secrets. 11No one can know a person's thoughts except that person's own spirit, and no one can know God's thoughts except God's own Spirit. 12And we have received God's Spirit (not the world's spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. 1Corinthians 2:7,10-12
You can do nothing on your own. Abide in Him for miracles and power.
4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. 5“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:4-5
Seek His voice. Obey when He directs you. Don’t remain religious.
But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.” 1Samuel 15:22
Not sure what to pray? Pray for His Kingdom purposes for your life.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33
There is nothing impossible for God. Pray boldly for “impossible” miracles.
Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God. Mark 10:27

Your past failures do not matter. God is concerned about where you are going.

God loves you.
